Life Class Exhibition September 2009
Earlier in the year I invited students who have been attending my Life Drawing Classes to take part in a Group Show which I had planned for September. The response was amazing! The work filled the studio as well as the corridor walls, with each artist showing at least three pieces.
The exhibition demonstrated the diversity of the group and had a wonderful lively, quirky feel. For some this was their first opportunity to exhibit and was clearly something very exciting to be part of.
Guests at the Preview Evening. After a frantic day getting everything prepared I had that fear I always get before a Private View: will anyone turn up or will it just be me working my way through 30 bottles of bubbly? Thankfully it was a fantastic turnout, the atmosphere was buzzing! Several pieces of work sold that evening and there were more sales during the course of the exhibition.
The response was great. Here are some of the comments: 'It makes me want to join a Life Class'; 'I love the fact that everyone has their own individual style'; 'Everything looks so professional'; 'Can I have another glass of bubbly?'
